Biography

The streets have been blamed for just about every negative aspect of our American society, yet the good stories never make it to the surface. Enter Darko The Magnificent! A seasoned veteran in the game of Hip-Hop, both well versed and traveled, Darko is an O.G. of sorts in this fickle industry. Darko is the former lead MC from the underground super group "BSE" from New Orleans. Poised for an industry invasion, BSE was in the process of negotiating a deal with Jive Records after scanning over 16,000 units, when then CEO Mystikal took his career to No-Limit records. BSE felt as though signing with No-Limit would be a humungous step back wards, and didn't see any logical reason for accepting the invitation due to the labels "lack of true talent". Good move. This decision proved to be momentous as BSE as well as the rest of the world watched the No-Limit Empire crumble, leaving most of its artists jobless, and financially strapped for cash.

For the next few years, Darko would go into complete seclusion. Vowing to never rap again, and left with a bitter taste in his mouth courtesy of the industry, Darko would begin working odd jobs and hustling just to eat from that point on. Just as life started to come together, and music was forgotten, along came hurricane Katrina. All of Darko’s memories, life long home, and everything he owned, like so many other New Orleans evacuees, gone. Wading in waste high water for safety was amid a nightmare, but Darko vowed to re-enter the rap world and truly seize his opportunity to reclaim greatness on the microphone. By Blending a mixture of down south attitude and East Coast lyrical abilities, Darko has conceived a winning formula for success in song writing. Dubbed by Chris Luva, Luva, aka Ludacris, as “ one Lyrical muf**a”, Darko is battle tested and has opened shows for many of today's top artists, such as, Too Short, Junior Mafia, Scarface, D.J. Quick, and the late Tupac Shakur.
